Quest Viewer is a Windows application that displays live video streamed from Meta Quest headsets on your own network. This policy explains exactly what the application sends, what we store, and what we do not.

Your video never reaches us. Streams travel directly between the headset and your PC over your local network. We operate no media servers. We cannot see, store or record anything you stream, and neither can anyone else.

What the application sends

Quest Viewer makes network connections in only three situations:

Headset discovery and streaming. The app broadcasts and listens on your local network to find headsets, then opens a direct connection to them. This traffic never leaves your network.
Licence activation and validation. If you activate a paid licence, the app sends the licence key and an anonymous machine identifier to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, so it can enforce the machine limit on your licence. The identifier is a one-way hash and cannot be used to identify you personally. The app re-checks the licence periodically to confirm it is still valid.
Opening a web page. Buttons such as “Buy” or “Upgrade” open your default browser at our store. The app itself sends nothing in the process.

The free tier does not contact any server other than for headset discovery on your own network.

What we store

If you buy a licence, we hold your email address and purchase record so we can provide support and process refunds.
Payment details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. We never see or store your card number.
Settings, licence state and any recordings you make stay on your own computer, under %APPDATA%\QuestViewer. Recordings are never uploaded.

What we do not do

No analytics, telemetry or usage tracking.
No advertising, and no sharing or selling of personal information to anyone.
No account required — the free tier and the trial need no sign-up at all.

Children

Quest Viewer is a professional tool for developers and venues. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and we will action it. Deleting your purchase record may prevent us from honouring a refund or reissuing a lost licence key, so we will confirm before doing so.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in our release notes.
